Hey everyone! This is Daniel from the Mandolins and Beer Podcast and I’m very excited to officially announce the details of my new album “Around the Clock” coming out on Adhyâropa
Records on October 11, 2024!
Over the past year and a half, I’ve recorded an album of mandolin family and vocal duets with 11 of my favorite mandolin players. I traveled to 5 different recording studios (The Tractor Shed and Dark Shadow Recording, both near Nashville, Echo Mountain in Asheville, Conveyor Studios in Brooklyn and Tusk Audio near Portland Maine) to record each of these songs in a live setting.
Along with recording these songs live and in person, the other important aspect to me was to record non bluegrass songs. Not because I don’t love bluegrass, but because all of us as musicians have different tastes in music outside of the bluegrass genre ….and that is what makes us each unique as players.
The tracklist for the album is:
“Blue Sky” by The Allman Brothers Band, Featuring Sam Bush
“Deal” by Jerry Garcia, Featuring Ronnie McCoury
“Seven Spanish Angels” by Willie Nelson, Featuring Sharon Gilchrist
“Drive” by The Cars, Featuring Tim O’Brien
“Hey Bulldog” by The Beatles, Featuring Jarrod Walker
“To Find a Friend” by Tom Petty, Featuring Harry Clark
“I Got a Name” by Jim Croce, Featuring Mary Meyer
“Lodi” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Featuring Jacob Jolliff
“San Tropez” by Pink Floyd, Featuring Mike Guggino
“Knockin’ on Your Screen Door” by John Prine, Featuring Matt Flinner
“Angel” by Jimi Hendrix, Featuring Joe K Walsh
The album will be available on “Blue Sky Blue” translucent vinyl, CD and digital platforms. (Physical copies will be limited!)
Pre-orders for the album will start on September 16, 2024.
September 16th will also be the date of the first single, “Blue Sky” Featuring Sam Bush, followed by “Hey Bulldog” Featuring Jarrod Walker on September 30th!
